Formed in the mid 2000s this studio has been growing at a pace that allows us to expand while keeping our ethos and values. They’re small (40 employees) by consultancy terms but that enables us to be specialists and for everybody to work together well. They never seem like a collection of individuals; they provide high performance and battle-hardened teams that work well together.
This is a chance to work at a truly unique studio, who are providing cutting edge highly needed software for some of the biggest platforms in the world. Working across multiple different projects, from turn based strategy games, to mobile games, to AAA console titles, across different engines and platforms.
Ability to work in a team of other engineers
At least 2 years of commercial programming experience.
Able to write clean, scaleable and performant code.
Want to learn new skills and are happy to “jump straight in”
Used to working with ticket systems (github/devops/JIRA etc) and source control (git at least).
To be clear: YOU DON’T NEED TO HAVE ANY GAMES BUSINESS EXPERIENCE as they can train you on that.
They have studios located in Theale (Reading), and Moray in Scotland. This is a hybrid role from their Morely office, 3-2 days in the office 2 at home.
They are flexible around arrival times and leaving times on the days in the office, as they realise the commute to Elgin. They do have staff who commute from Inverness, and Aberdeen. They offer remote working for initial 3 months if you need to relocate.
